1. Who we are
Gima-Bambot Inc., Ltd. is a holding company registered in Douala, Republic of Cameroon. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to https://gimabambot.com and to the enquiries sent to the group office through it.
It does not cover the websites of our operating companies. Each subsidiary — Gima-Bambot MedTech Ltd., SoilSource Ltd., MAGNETransit Ltd., YourTravel Ltd., mediaEdge Ltd. and FATTORE Ltd. — operates its own site, collects its own data and publishes its own privacy policy. If you have a commercial relationship with one of them, that company’s policy governs your data, not this one.
3. What we collect
When you send an enquiry. Our contact form collects your name, your organisation, your email address, the nature of your enquiry and the content of your message. All of it is information you choose to give us. We do not require any of it to browse the site.
When you write or call directly. If you contact us by email or telephone, we hold what you send us — including your email address or telephone number and any information contained in your message.
Automatically, when you visit. Our hosting provider records standard server data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages viewed, the date and time of the visit, and the page that referred you. This is generated by the web server itself and is used for security and to keep the site running.
Audience measurement, if you agree to it. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It runs only if you consent to it, and it is described in section 9.
We do not collect anything else. This site has no user accounts, no comment section, no newsletter and no online payment. We do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. Why we process it, and on what basis

We do not use your data for any purpose other than the one for which you gave it. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, under any circumstances.
5. Who has access
Inside the group. Only the staff who need it to answer you. If your enquiry concerns one of the operating companies, we forward it to that company and tell you we have done so.
Our hosting provider. The site is hosted by Line Web Services (France), acting on our instructions and bound by confidentiality.
Google. If you consent to audience measurement, Google Analytics data is processed by Google. See section 9.
Public authorities. Only where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
That is the complete list. No advertising network, data broker or third-party marketing service receives data from this site.
6. International transfers
Our servers are located in France. If you write to us from Cameroon or anywhere else, your data will be processed in France and in Cameroon.
France applies the European Union’s data protection framework, which offers a level of protection at least equivalent to that required by Cameroonian law. Where personal data leaves Cameroon, we take the steps required by Cameroonian law to keep it protected, including contractual safeguards with our providers.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that lead to no relationship: 24 months from the last exchange, then deleted.
Enquiries that lead to a business or contractual relationship: for the duration of the relationship, then for the retention period required by Cameroonian commercial and accounting law.
Applications for senior appointments: 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
Server logs: 12 months.
Analytics data: 14 months.
8. Your rights
Under Cameroonian law on the protection of personal data, you have the right to:
- Be informed of what we hold about you and why;
- Access your personal data and obtain a copy;
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your data, where we have no legal obligation to keep it;
- Object to processing, on legitimate grounds;
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was lawful before;
- Restrict processing while a dispute over accuracy or lawfulness is being resolved;
- Lodge a complaint with the competent Cameroonian data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to info@gimabambot.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
Exercising these rights costs you nothing.
9. Cookies and audience measurement
Essential cookies. These are required for the site to work: session cookies, security cookies, the cookie that remembers your language choice between the English and French versions, and the cookie that records your answer to the banner below. They do not identify you personally, they are not used for tracking, and the site cannot function without them.
Audience measurement — Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they arrived. It tells us what to improve. It also places cookies and sends data to Google, which may process it outside Cameroon.
Google Analytics only runs if you agree to it. When you first visit, a banner asks for your consent. If you decline, no analytics cookie is placed and no data is sent to Google. If you accept and later change your mind, you can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing the cookies in your browser.
No advertising. We use no advertising cookies, no retargeting and no third-party marketing trackers.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
10. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we hold: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to authorised staff, and up-to-date server software.
No system is entirely secure. Should a breach occur that affects your personal data, we will notify the competent authority and, where your rights are at risk, inform you.
11. Children
This site is intended for businesses, institutions and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page for a reasonable period.
13. Contact and complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Cameroonian authority responsible for the protection of personal data.
